Rescue Me!
By Mindy Wiegand

I first heard of Dream Dinners while I was at the Women’s Expo in Portland. I accepted the folded leaflet with mild interest and put it in my bag while I moved on to the next demo. I remember my friend mentioning that she thought Dream Dinners was great, but with all the activity at the expo, we quickly moved on. Seriously, at that moment, Dream Dinners was quickly forgotten when a cheery voice on the intercom urgently spoke of the firefighter’s fashion show starting in five minutes. All I can tell you is dinner was no longer the “hot” topic.

Little did I know that while fashion may wax and wane, what to make for dinner is a constant. Whether you’re having a bad day, good day, manic Monday, everyone expects dinner. Dream Dinners is a fantastic choice for all those days!

Simply put, Dream Dinners are healthy, economical meals with minimal cleanup and preparation. The first step is setting up an appointment. You go to their facility and assemble the ingredients for the number of meals you select. They even do the clean up! If having someone else clean up is not appealing enough for you, I know having control over ingredients had me at hello.

If you’re beginning to feel a little bummed because this company is not in your neighborhood yet, don’t despair! Many people set up cooking clubs with neighbors, friends and acquaintances. They get organized, shop in bulk and get together for a couple hours of meal assembly to save many hours of work in the weeks ahead. You may find this just might be an idea worth chewing over.
